3 stars: It´s quite good but I´m a bit underwhelmed. My six year son played this as his first tinybop app this evening. It consists of five or six applets demonstrating simple machines and mechanical principles. Some are more engaging than others and the X.Ray facility is a nice touch (although not much developed). What I really wanted to see was something that would give him a real sense of mechanical principles that could be experimented with. This doesn´t, although it is sort of a nice conversation piece for a six year old, e.g. "look at how that sort of bicycle is not very stable." I´ve read so much about the company I was really expecting great things comparable with dragonbox or tocaboca - the best makers of serious games for small children on android. So I am holding this to the highest standards. But ... it just sort of quite diverting and nicely animated. But I can´t imagine it holding the interest of a six year old for more than a couple of hours. Nicely made and inventive but lacking in depth. He wanted back to minecraft very quickly. .. But this is just a first reaction after one evening, Hoping for greater things and we will look at the other apps over the coming days.
