5 stars: Just because someone does doesn't know what an app is for, they assume it's spyware and it's for government tracking? I never laughed so hard. You have literally at least 100 background apps that to different things. Example, there's an app that allows your screen to turn on and an app to use volume control. This is for the connectivity to fitness devices such as the Galaxy Watch and other things. How do you think things connect? Magic?
4 stars: This is a built-in app. It already exists on your phone when you purchase it. It won't update automatically unless you have auto update on. So stop complaining about it. It allows you to synch with ant+ enabled devices nothing more. If you don't have this then your phone won't operate properly with ant+ devices. And did I mention it's buult-in already on most phones?
4 stars: The app probably deserves 5 stars but it has an annoying shortcoming as there is no way (at least as I can find) to select and delete multiple open/closed notifications. Since I use my garage door as my primary access to the front of the house, I spend quite a bit of time every few days selecting and deleting each notification manually.
3 stars: not so good with last device but have had many good devices previously just a glitch in the most recent last one.
